Healing benefits of solitude

 Welcome everybody to episode 1 on the Love Yourself, Heal Yourself, Podcast.
I am your host Marilyn Latham, I am a health and Well enthusiast, A certified reiki Practitioner, and Mindfulness meditation coach
 and I am super excited about todays episode because we are going to be talking about one of my favorite subjects……. I am talking about the intentional practice of solitude!
Why solitude? Because…. no matter where you are on your journey, solitude should always be one the  ingredients. And if you are at the beginning of your healing or spiritual journey it and not quite sure where to start It should be THE MAIN INGREDIENT. So really quickly I am going to run down
 5 benefits of solitude
1 Improves your intuition by silencing outside noise
2 Relaxes the nervous system by disconnecting from external stimulation
3 Cultivates the practice of Self-Love as you learn to be comfortable being alone and learning to enjoy your own company
4. Allows time for quiet reflection
5. It increases self-awareness and gives you greater insights about yourself and what you are wanting and needing at the time
Solitude can be practiced at home by simply carving out some quiet alone time, it can be a solo nature walk or it can simply be choosing to wake up an hour early before the rest of your family so that you can enjoy some personal peace and set the mood for your day
